Every day this winter from 3pm, kids eat free with every adult meal over $30. Pizza, toastie, or pasta, their choice. The river views are free too, which might be the best deal on the mountain.

It's simple. Order an adult meal over $30 and the kids eat free. No app, no loyalty card, no explaining yourself at the door. They get to choose from pizza, toastie, or pasta, and you get to sit by the Shotover River with an Aperol Spritz straight off the tap.

Canyon Taproom sits 8 minutes from central Queenstown in Arthurs Point, right beneath the Edith Cavell Bridge on the Shotover River. It's relaxed, it's dog-friendly, and the setting does a lot of the heavy lifting. Mountain backdrop, river below, pizza in the oven.

Adults get 11 taps of Canyon beer, cocktails on tap, and a menu that was designed for lingering. The kind of meal where you look up and realise it's dark outside and nobody minded.
